In business for more than 80 years, Caen-Leach and McLean Insurance Agency keeps growing with a fifth generations. Amy Piglowski, owner of Caen-Leach Insurance Agency at 702 West Pearce in Wentzville has a long history of insurance experience in her family. Mark Caen , Amy's great grandfather, founded the company in 1938. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Joseph Caen, who started in the insurance business in the late 1800's. In 1953, Pete Leach joined the Caen Agency and helped expand the company. (Pete married to Mark Caen's daughter, Corinne.) In 1976, Laura Curran, daughter of Pete and Corinne joined the agency and then took over as the owner when Pete retired in 1992. While still in grade school, Amy helped her mother in the agency doing odd jobs in the office and began to learn the business. The agency and the family had a great loss in August 2003 when Amy's mom, Laura passed away. Amy now runs the agency. Caen-Leach & McLean Insurance Agency serves a long list of clients with a wide range of insurance products: Auto, Home, Life, Boat, Health and Commercial. Clients love the family and the personal service they receive. It's still a one-stop insurance agency able to shop for the best prices from many companies throughout the country. Some clients today are from generations past; their grandparents date back to 1938. Woman have always been involved in the Caen-Leach and McLean Insurance Agency. Amy's mother, her grandmother and her great grandmother have all worked in the company during it's long history. Amy and her husband Todd reside in Wentzville with their four children, Devin, Bella, Londyn and Beckhem.
